Tank wall and vertical steel surfaces cleaning

Cleaning by magnetic crawler robot capable of operating on vertical and horizontal steel surfaces, fitted with a vacuum system for removal of wastewater and solid particles. Air driven from a central control system for the safety winches and integrated air motor drive system and capable of operating with water pressures up to 2’500 bar the system can easily remove paint, waxy deposits or rust debris. Relying only on strong magnetic force the robot is secure on the surface regardless of any disruption in air supply. The robot is capable of vertical and horizontal movement across the surface constrained only by the length of the hoses available.

SAFETY

A double winch system combined with an inertial reel fall arrestor provides the necessary safety should the robot unaccountably be dislodged from the surface.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Adjustment of the number and size of the nozzles fitted in the rotating arm, combined with the use of pressurised water allows cleaning of surfaces with lower pressure hot water. Higher-pressure water usage can easily remove existing paintwork or rust.

MAGNET

The permanent magnets are of special design allowing the robot to negotiate features such as weld runs and deformations in the surface without becoming detached. The magnets are extremely strong and placing or removal on the surface requires at least two people.

VACUUM SYSTEM

The vacuum system sited at ground level allows water and paint to be collected and avoids contamination of the surrounding area. The vacuum system plays no role in the adhesion of the robot to the surface, only as a waste collection system.
